“On the art of cinematography at WFS” is an original course led by dr hab. Katarzyna Taras, featuring guest appearances - both online and in person - by some of the most acclaimed cinematographers: Janusz Kamiński, Andrzej Bartkowiak, Ryszard Lenczewski, and Adam Holender. Together, we will discuss the visual side of a selected film. The goal of the course is to introduce students to the unique sensibilities, artistic paths, and achievements of Polish cinematographers.
The guest of the first lecture will be Janusz Kamiński, a Polish cinematographer and director, and a two-time Academy Award winner. He received Oscars for "Schindler’s List" (1994) and "Saving Private Ryan" (1999).
The topic of the session will be an analysis of "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" (2007), a French-American biographical drama.
